Sarasota was a good time. Patti Smith blew my mind - one of my idols when I was 16 and still is. Elvis Mitchell, one of the most intelligent critics out there, was also a pleasure to meet. In my screening block was Lily Greenfield Sanders and Chloe Zhao. Also in the festival was Samina Akbari, my lovely producer, with her film The Visitors.
